What's In It For Me?

Many questions arise when one considers joining a professional organization. The easy questions can be answered quickly, such as what does it cost? How do I join? Where’s my nearest chapter? Also, what services are available to me as a member?

For APICS, the International website provides the answers to these questions and gives additional information for items you may not have considered.

But the most compelling question to be answered is:

“What’s in it for me?”

That is never a simple answer, but it is one the Princeton South Jersey Chapter (PRSJ) has explored with a series of articles written by its active membership.

With any “well run” organization, the more you put into it, the more you get out. If you join and put little effort in, you will find you get about the same in return.

But when you choose to spend some time getting actively involved, If you attend a professional developmental meeting, take an educational class, sit in on a board meeting) you will find it can be extremely rewarding!

To understand this better, please take the time to follow the link on the PRSJ homepage entitled “What’s In It For Me?” and read what others have gotten out of being a member of the chapter.

It is in our member’s own words, and was voluntarily provided to help others understand what benefits they have received in their own personal involvement with APICS.

ENJOY THE ARTICLES, AND HOPE TO SEE YOU AT A PRSJ EVENT SOON!
