Letter from the President

The month of June is bittersweet for the dedicated volunteers that serve on the PRSJ Chapter Board. The last event of our fiscal year, "Top Management Night", is scheduled for the evening of June 19 at the Old Yorke Country Club in Chesterfield, NJ. On this night, we celebrate each other and our successes of the past year; we recognize and honor the members who earned their CPIM and CSCP certifications; and we honor the Member of the Year and the Company of the Year. This special night also includes the swearing in of the new Board of Directors and a new President for 2013 and 2014.

For me personally, June marks the end of my two years as President. I want to thank the BOD and the PRSJ membership for their support! My successor, President-elect Laurie Strehl, will do a fabulous job! She is very energetic and has a lot of exciting ideas to continue the strong tradition of service and value to our members.

June is also the time of year when the planning and hosting of Professional Development Meetings, meeting Channel Partner obligations to APICS, and attending District meetings comes to an end. All the BOD members will take several weeks off to enjoy their families and summer activities. We will get started again in late July or early August to plan for the New Year.

Education does not stop during the summer months. Classes are scheduled in East Windsor, NJ and Mt. Laurel, NJ. Here is a link to review the classes scheduled and registration. Please register today.

This year for Top Management Night, we welcome our guest speaker Hany Salama, Chief Supply Chain Officer and Vice President of Global Quality Management at NeoStrata Company,Inc. located in Princeton, New Jersey.
